Dock Poses Question Of Music And Timing

TEAC's new iPod dock slash FM radio could be the perfect combination or a useless one depending on your existing home entertainment setup.

It seems that these days, technologies on their own are becoming obsolete.

The big selling point for mobile phones has become cameras and the same can be said for other technologies with tag-along extras.

The TEAC iPod dock is in the same mould.

It's a perfectly capable and functional dock. Nobody would expect ground-shaking sound from something about the size of a piece of A4 paper, but it gets the job done with fairly impressive quality.

The FM radio has few faults, but it's also unremarkable no more or less that you would get from a fancy clock radio.

Its positives are size and portability, which make it a useful accessory if your entire music catalogue is on an iPod and you fancy listening to it aloud.

The SRL2Xi has a recommended retail of $149.
